Le Couvent des Minimes has released two new scents for summer 2017 called Eau de l'Angelus and Eau du Prieuré, in keeping with their attachment to the monastic perfumery tradition of herbal recipes blending for wellness purposes...
Eau de l'Angelus is inspired by the sound of the Angelus bell which rings thrice per day, at dawn, noon and in the evenings. They see it as a moment filled with softness echoed in the new scent by notes of white flowers and a delicate vanilla.
Main ingredients are an absolute of vanilla, cedarwood essential oil picked for its balancing properties, and a citrus eos for their pick-me-up effect.
Eau du Prieuré is inspired by the scent of verbena growing in the shade of lemon trees in the aromatic garden of the convent in the shade of lemon trees.
Main ingredients are a verbena hydrolate for its energizing effect, lemon eo for its tonic properties and litsea cubeba eo for its refreshing influence.
Both scents can be used either as a body friction product or as a spray-on fragrance.
