American designer and luxury house Tiffany & Co. has decided to rekindle its interest in fragrance under the aegis of Coty Inc, with whom it signed a partnership last year. Tiffany & Co Eau de Parfum is the result of the collaboration...
The composition is signed by perfumer Daniela Andrier of Givaudan, best known lately for her work with Italian fashion house Prada. Unsurprisingly, iris is the main motif of the new scent. It is a perennial symbol of olfactory luxury and Andrier's fetish note since Infusion d'Iris by Prada (2007),
"Love and beauty are the essence of Tiffany, and the new Tiffany fragrance captures that essence in a bottle--a sparkling floral musk with a precious signature ingredient, the iris."
Tiffany is said to be a sparkling musky floral with main notes of vert de mandarine in the top, iris in the heart and patchouli and musk in the base.
A link to an iris brooch presented at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1900 is established. It was set with demantoid garnet blossoms and Montana sapphires earning Tiffany the grand prize.
Photographer Steven Meisel will lens the advertising campaign showcasing four models: Vittoria Ceretti, Julia Nobis, Achok Majak and Georgina Grenville. The visual thematic will be the classic pulse points of the body on which to apply perfume: the neck, wrists and behind the ears. There are other pulse points you can use, but the brand is sticking with iconicity.
The packaging is reproducing the Tiffany blue color that is a central part of the brand's image.
