The house of Guerlain issued a new composition baptized Le Frenchy in the Collections Exclusives dedicated to connoisseurs. The eau de parfum for men is meant to embody an "eternal symbol" of French elegance and chic...

It is also a rethink of verbena creations at Guerlain's, one from the 19th century and one in the 20th century, Eau de Verveine by Jean-Paul Guerlain from 1983.

The verbena note, modest in appearance, has a long history of pleasing divinities and people alike. See On The Scented Trail of an Aromatic Cult of the Goddess Strenia.

Hesperidic, woody and aromatic, the new jus is signed by in-house Thierry Wasser. The fragrance opens on top notes of Petit Grain, Bergamot, Lemon, and Verbena seguing into a heart of Sage, Neroli and Lavender. The base features Vetiver, Tonka Bean and Ambergris.

To underline the fact that the scent bears an unmistakable French Touch, the flacon is color-coded with the colors of the French flag. The French have never been so proud of their flag post-WWII as in the aftermath of the November attacks in Paris in 2015.

Price: 210€ for 100 ml.
