Fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa is issuing a new flanker to Alaïa eau de parfum (2015) called Alaïa Eau de Parfum Nude...
Last year's release was Alaïa eau de parfum Blanche (2016) .
The new composition presents the characteristic of offering woody top notes, which is perfectly unusual since they are normally considered to be typical base notes. Usually, top notes convey the lightest, most sparkling sensations in a perfume. But not here, apparently.
The edp has top notes of cedarwood and Cashmeran. Heart notes are orange blossom and iris. Base notes are musk, tonka bean absolute and leather.
One can notice that if the beauty, cosmetics industry is now careful not to assimilate the notion of "nude" with just a light pink shade, the perfume industry has yet to habitually release fragrances called "nude" in more varied and darker shades, as far as the jus and packaging go - except for Youth Dew Amber Nude (discontinued). It says a lot about what people think is the default color of "nude." Just a thought.
