On the day of the Epiphany, we happened on this scene of a young priest listening to an older woman across a wooden table in plain sight for all to see, although their exchange was of a private nature...

Behind them is a marble commemorative stone on the wall dedicated to the memory of the priests who were massacred during the French Revolution, on September 2, 1792 in the gardens and buildings of the Carmes convent in Paris.

It is in that same garden incidentally that the fragrant and tonic Eau des Carmes, still sold today, was invented in the 17th century.
