Aerin is adding a new opus in February of 2018 to its collection of lifestyle- and memories-inspired fragrances created in 2013 with Hibiscus Palm, a pean sung to tropical getaways, with the more recent sensations of the brand founder that she garnered in Tulum, Mexico as a fresh source of inspiration...
Aerin Lauder, the grand-daughter of Estée explained,
"I worked with Master Perfumer Harry Fremont [of Firmenich] on Hibiscus Palm Accord, created exclusively for the AERIN Fragrance Collection. It is an irresistible and unique combination of the dewy freshness of Palm Leaf and the breathtaking aura of Hibiscus Flower, resulting in a crisp, lush green scent."
The eau de parfum is said to feature a pairing of lotus blossom and a dew-kissed Hibiscus palm leaf accord. Hibiscus blossom is also showcased. Other head notes include ylang-ylang, ginger essence. The heart is lushly floral with tiaré flower, petals of frangipani, melati blossoms and tuberose absolute. The tropical island getaway theme is further illustrated with sunny vanilla, coconut milk, heliotrope and a dash of musk in the base.
Sister brand Estée Lauder is well-known for their annual edition of Bronze Goddess, a popular beach scent. Hibiscus Palm appears to be a more elaborate version of the escapist perfume of vacation for people who are looking for something a little more botanical than the hedonistic aromatic profile of suntan lotion and golden sand.
