Creative perfumer brand L'Artisan Parfumeur has released a new unisex fragrance entitled Mont de Narcisse in its collection Les Paysages dedicated to capturing the ioonic essences of French regions, this time that of the region of Auvergne...
This library of scents was inaugurated in 2016 with Bucoliques de Provence.
As its name indicates in French, the new composition focuses on the scent of daffodils and of the Poet's Daffodil in particular (Narcissus Poeticus), which is so abundant in Auvergne that it is said to present itself to the visitor's gaze as a blanket of snow covering the flanks of the region's volcanoes.
Perfumer Anne Flipo of IFF has taken inspiration from the starkness of the physical geography of the place contrasting with the soft floral smell of daffodils. The eau de parfum underlines the smoky and leathery facets of the flower.
Other notes include bergamot, cardamom, pepper, vanilla bean, osmanthus flower, and everlasting bloom or immortelle.
