Jean-Paul Guerlain to be Judged for Racial Insults on February 9th, 2012 {Fragrance News}

guerlain_jugement_tribunal.jpgPerfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain, the last nose of the Guerlain family, will be facing the court on Thursday February 9th 2012 for a racial incident that was broadcast on television on October 15th 2010. He interjected some remarks using the N word and was furthermore deprecatory of slavery wondering whether slaves had been that much hard at work in an implicit comparion with his own work at Guerlain. Burberry-London-women-Men.jpgThe partnership between Interparfums and Burberry fragrances has been so successful that the British label is starting to think that they perhaps do not need to pay dividends more than they need to, to their current license holder.

Seeing that Interparfums rely for 57% of their profits on Burberry, the latter have decided to renegotiate their contract and perhaps cut loose. For the luxury brand, the proportion is a bit different but still significant: perfumes amount to 37% of their profits....
