LVMH - Dior Accused of Using Lead in their Lipsticks {Beauty News}

A judge in Chicago reportedly rejected LVMH's request to ignore the complaint which was filed in November 2007.

The problem might be more commonplace than expected. According to Enviroblog, amongst one batch of 33 lipstick brands tested by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, a disquieting 61 % showed detectable levels of lead in their products although the ingredient was nowhere to be seen listed.

You all heard about céruse back in the days, right? One would think people would have learned a lesson or two from the rage for and ravages of céruse in the 18th century...
