Coqui_Coqui_perfumes.jpgThe line of perfumes developed by Argentinian landscape architect and perfumer Nicolas Malleville, Coqui Coqui perfumes, has arrived at Colette in Paris.

The fragrances recreate the palette of scents that was typical of the Yucatan region during the Spanish colonization and appreciated by Spanish royalty, combining it with the tradition of ancient Mayan medicine...

Jennifer Aniston Fragrance Now Available Online in the States {Perfume Shopping Tip of the Day} {Celebrity Scent}

Jennifer_Aniston_perfume_ad.pngOne of the most talked about celebrity fragrances last year was Jennifer Aniston Eau de Parfum. It was great to take a peek at the launch which took place at Harrods of London, but it was frustrating for many across the pond not to be able to purchase the perfume in the United States where the actress is most famous, admittedly. Finally, Sephora snagged the exclusive. You can buy it online for now. Wait until the end of March 2011 to find in the boutiques of the chain store...

Shop for Perfume at Bluefly or at Discounters? That is The Question {Scented Paths & Fragrant Addresses}

fragrance-shopping.jpg

WWD announced this morning that Bluefly.com is now opened for perfume business offering up to 40% discount on luxury, prestige fragrance brands. “Our fashion-conscious customers view fragrances as an extension of fashion and personal style,” said Melissa Payner, president and chief executive officer of Bluefly.com. So we decided to go visit and take a look around.

A first impression is that the selection is very hum drum by perfumista's standards and particularly devoid of personality. Clearly the site is not trying to attract thanks to an unique selection or mix of fragrance labels. Second, suprisingly, prices that could be much lower are still healthy by perfume-discount-boutique standards...

Fragrance Gift Giving for the Holidays 2010 - Part 2: Cologne Gifts by Guy Type

mad-men-cologne-skit.jpg

We purposefully replaced the word "perfume" with that of "cologne" in the Guy's Holiday Guide to, what else but, Cologne, following the Girls' Guide to Perfume. Just like girls wear pink and boys wear blue, "cologne" in American parlance in particular means we're not talking ninny fragrant molecules here but an assemblage of them wearing a mustachio, no question about that. Well, at least, let's just pretend for a moment that fragrances can grow hair on their chests...

Fragrance Gift Giving for the Holidays 2010 - Part 2: The Christmas-y And/Or Funny Soap Edition

dove-winter-care-soap-bar.jpg

Funny or quirky or simply seasonal figurative soaps are usually produced by artisans rather than big-name corporations, so we put on our miner lamp to go dig out a few twists on the idea of just cleaning your hands. Check these out for a bit of Holiday cheer and good spirit.

Let's start with our ABCs. There is a peace-dove motif on the famous Dove soap, check,...

Breast Cancer Awareness Gifts 4: Kim Kardashian Fan Designed Rollerball for BCA Month {Shopping Tip of the Day} {Celebrity Fragrance}

kim-kardashian-rollerball-winner.jpg

Celebrity Kim Kardashian is commercializing a limited-edition rollerball of her signature debut fragrance this month. This Pink Ribbon edition will help finance her charity of choice: 10% of sales will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition, founded in 1998 by three young breast cancer survivors

Already in June 2010 the reality TV star had announced on her blog that the rollerball pen would be available only at Sephora this fall. Since then, there has been a falling-out between the two partners and the fan-designed scent is now exclusively available through KK's own fragrance site and Perfumania...
