Louve by Lutens Now Available {Shopping Tip}

Louve is the latest release by Serge Lutens and is now available in-store at Palais Royal Shiseido and online at La Mûre Favorite, 50 ml for $128. WWD had previously mentioned an evocative-sounding "white" jus, but it looks simply and very plainly transparent....

New Releases Available: Cacharel Liberté, Christian Lacroix C'est La Fête, Van Cleef & Arpels First Summer 2007 Limited Edition {Shopping Tips}

Liberté by Cacharel (please read our review) is now exceptionally available at Imagination Perfumery as it will be released officially only in the fall of 2007 in the US. It retails from $39.99 to $75.99. This is a good option for an everyday laidback yet feminine light chypre.

They also have C'est La Fête by Christian Lacroix, from $33.99 to $62.99, which is not available in principle before the fall in the US and First Summer 2007 Limited Edition by Van Cleef & Arpels for $42.99.

Time to get seriously flirty! As the temperatures are rising, The Body Shop is launching a series of new fragrance products based on its ever-popular best-seller White Musk oil. The scent is now available in eau de toilette and eau de parfum concentrations as well as in a Sensual Shimmer Fragrance to be applied to the pulse points and a Body Mist and more. Reading the description of the notes, the scent sounds like it could be one of those new chypres or at least offer a chypre facet to it.....

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford {Shopping Tip} + Exclusive Vogue Video Interview of Tom Ford {Scented Images}

Believe it or not, at least one of the magnificent 12 Private Blends has already hit a perfume discounter: Tobacco Vanille. And only a few days ago at Harvey Nichols they were selling like hot cakes while Tom Ford himself was signing the bottles away, explaining that Tobacco Vanille is one of his favorites. The latter statement has more the ring of sincerity to it than one might assume normally had it just been an isolated remark proferred on a signature-event day since he already explained in Women's Wear Daily a while ago that it is one of his three favorites from the line......

Wanderlust, Lazy Love, & Lullaby Super-Fumes by Perfume of Life + Mother's Day GWP {New Perfumes} {Shopping Tip}

French Lover by Frederic Malle Now Available {Shopping Tip}

Editions de Parfums have now released French Lover as promised on May 2. From the website: "A new interpretation of Angelica orchestrated by Pierre Bourdon The utopian quest of the ideal man fragrance: a skin enhancer both brutal, due to its overdoses and sophisticated, due to its ingredients."

It retails for 90 Euros for a 50 ml spray bottle and 135 Euros for 100 ml. A set of 3 spray refills each of 10 ml is also available for 55 Euros.

Olivier Durbano Rock Crystal & Amethyst, Modern Alchemy Candles, Calypso St Barth Jala & Lily, Andy Tauer Rêverie Au Jardin & More Now at Luckyscent {Shopping Tips}

Luckyscent has been busy receiving an array of new fragrances and candles lately. For more background on Olivier Durbano's newly arrived fragrances Rock Crystal and Amethyst read the interview we did with him last year. Modern Alchemy candles are now wafting their scents at the LA boutique -- We, of course, need to try Boston Tea Party. More scents from the superlative Profumum line of fragrances from Italy have arrived: Ambra Aurea, Tuberosa, and Victrix. Satellite has come up with four new compositions: 40 degrés à l'Ombre, A La Figue! Corrida and Ipanema (the scents look very colorful but they don't stain). Hello Kitty's new signature scent is Momoberry. Andy Tauer is about to release his Rêverie Au Jardin. He will be visiting the Scent Bar managed by Luckyscent on April 26th and 27th. Serge Lutens Un Lys, Heeley at Aedes {Shopping Tips}

Aedes now has the much-sought after Un Lys by Serge Lutens. It is back in stock for a limited time only. It is available for $120 for a 1.69 oz flacon. They now also carry the Heeley line of fragrances and in particular: Cardinal, Cuir Pleine Fleur, Esprit du Tigre, Figuier, and Cèdre Blanc. These are available for $95 for a 3.3 oz bottle.

Courvoisier L'Edition Impériale Now Available At Bergdorf Goodman {New Perfume} {Shopping Tip}

As previously reported, the new fragrance Courvoisier L'Edition Impériale cologne is the cognac brand's first venture into a perfume extension of its label. The scent does not contain any cognac note "because the marketers wanted to accentuate the aspirational lifestyle suggested by the name." Its official launch will take place at Bergdorf Goodman next Monday although it already started selling out unofficially. Un Peu, Beaucoup, A La Folie by Marina Marinof {Perfume Shopping Tip}

Looking for something a little different? Perfume designer Marina Marinof was inspired by her Russian grand-mother to live life to the fullest and see causes for happiness in the littlest and simplest things of life. Inspired by her, she designed a line of Epicurean optimistic fragrances that comes packaged in some of the most adorable wooden Russian dolls you ever saw. It's all about context. Put a fragrance in a re-decorated matrioshka and a commonplace souvenir becomes something a little more unexpected. Her grand-mother's motto is inscribed on the doll: C'est rien que du bonheur! (Happiness is to be found in everything!)
