Want red carpet hair? We're giving away 10 packs that retail for $100 of Wella Professionals hairstyling products that were used to create these glamorous looks. Just tell us in the comments area below which red carpet hairstyle you like best to be entered to win!

Michelle Williams
"Michelle looks incredible with this short, modern Mia Farrow inspired style," says LA stylist Chris McMillian, who created her look. "It's a retro '60s combined with Flapper flair type of look that shows there's still a lot of glamour and versatility with short hair."

To Get The Look: First, apply Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse to wet hair, then use your hands to shape your hair while it air dries. Once dry, lift up your roots and blow dry upward to create extra lift at the crown. Then, apply Wella Professionals Mirror Polish for a glossy finish and to help smooth hair into shape. Add a simple black headband with a jeweled brooch to give this retro look a modern spin. Push bangs to the side where the jewel is positioned for a heavy fringe effect....

Man-Bobs: So Hot Right Now

By Lauren Le Vine

Tom Brady

For someone so attractive and seemingly sure of himself, Tom Brady has certainly been experiencing some hirsute confusion for the past two years. First, the Patriots quarterback looked like a child molester from the '70s. Now, he thinks he's a Southern gangster of sorts. Maybe wife Gisele Bundchen can set him straight?...

When JLO's Perfume Advertising Serves as a Lookbook & a Lesson in Glamor {Fragrance News} {Beauty Notes}

JLO-love-Glamour-Ad-Shoot.jpgIt is no mystery that advertising just like feature movies often serve as inspirational lookbooks for passers-by and movie watchers. The advert for the latest Jennifer Lopez Love & Glamour easily lends itself to beauty emulation. JLO imitated a 40s glam look which is perhaps best popularized by the iconic movie Gilda (1946) featuring Rita Hayworth.

We were told that celebs' hairstylist Oribe made all the magic happen and she explains how to replicate the look sported by JLO...

Summer Hair Survival Tips, Like Squirting Some Ketchup On {Beauty Notes - Hair}

ketchup_Heinz-B.jpg
From the Daily Makeover folks comes the latest weekly round-up of beauty tips. Check out below what ketchup can do for your hair (blondes have more fun):

Alessandra_Ambrosio_beauty_tips_Summer_2010_hair-cropped-proto-custom_7.jpgWhile summer is a great time to get outside and enjoy the fabulous weather, all that sun and fun can be brutal on your strands. Chlorine, sand, saltwater and, of course, those pesky UV rays can lead to everything from green-tinged hair color to fried and frazzled texture. We caught up with celebrity colorist Kim Vo--whose clients include Kate Hudson and Britney Spears--to get the scoop on how you can keep hair healthy during summer's hottest days. Check out his easy, DIY recipes and tips to make your strands look shiny, strong and chic all summer long.

A Chic And Changeable Hairstyle
Prior to hitting the pool or beach, shampoo and condition your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. When washing out the conditioner, make sure to leave some of it in your hair to help hair soak in moisture while you soak up the sun. Create a loose fishtail side braid, like Alessandra Ambrosio's here. Once the sun goes down, take out your braid and finger comb your hair to create loose, sultry waves that will look perfect for dinner, drinks or wherever the night may take you...

Do Men Like Short Hair? {Beauty Notes}

Short_Hair_men-taste.jpg©Getty

The ladies over at The Daily Makeover did a poll this week on men's tastes for short hair on women.

"With sexy celebs like Hayden Panettiere and Renée Zellweger chopping off their long locks in favor of shorter styles, we had to wonder--what do guys think about the short hair trend? To find out, we polled 50 men in New York City's Central Park to ask: Do you think short hair is sexy? We found that the majority of the men (62%!) preferred long hair over short. Check out their reasons why!

The guys who hated it said:
"To me, the women in these photos have hair that's a little too short. Shoulder length or longer looks better on all women in general. I can't pick out a single [celebrity] whose after shot I like more."--Victor, 26"....

Sephora Boar Detangling Brush (2009): The Power of Tourmaline {Beauty Notes: Review} {Hair} {New Beauty Product}

boar-brush-sephora.jpgSephora has introduced a new collection of hair brushes that was studied to incorporate both the traditional know-how by using 100% natural bristles and the still traditional but nevertheless new, edgy awareness that certain minerals -- tourmaline here -- release negative ions that are beneficial to haircare. The latter is dubbed "Ionic technology" and promises an anti-frizz effect as well as a "maxi-shine." The encouraging tag line is "...for the woman who wants to achieve mane magnificence sans the damage."

green-tourmaline.jpg Well, I have to say that I literally jumped on the Sephora Brand Boar Detangling Brush (or Brosse Démêlante Sanglier) upon spying it without even reading the fine print as my personal hairbrush-radar activated itself automatically. This particular brush from the collection looked very well balanced..

Amber in your Hair: Philip B Russian Imperial Amber Shampoo, Lulu Organics Patchouli & Amber, MiEssence Protect Hair Repair {Beauty Notes - Hair}

amber-hair.jpg
Fall is right around the corner and with it starts cravings for deep, rich, warm... mmm, comforting scents. Obviously I am daydreaming aloud. Amber is one of the choice notes to sport in the autumn season because it is so mellow and besides it is like the olfactory embodiment of turning-leaves. Amber smells dark to golden light and can offer a textural facet that evokes cashmere or fur. I truly think that it can help you keep warmer in the chill thanks to the psychological impact it can have on the mind...

Lady Lilith dubbed "the toilette picture" by Dante Gabriel Rossetti

So, I spotted three products that go for the Baudelairean ambiance of a rich mane dripping with the luxurious notes of amber. One is really deluxe, Philip B Russian Imperial Amber Shampoo, another is more affordable, Lulu Organics Patchouli and Amber, and the third one, MiEssence Protect Hair Repair, you can have at a dirt cheap price in travel size...

The Lure of Argan Oil by Guest Contributor Pauline

Surfing on the Argan oil’s wave, Naturelle d’Argan is an organic and ethical skin care range, which uses the highly regenerative oil of Moroccan origin that nourishes, protects and moisturizes the skin.

The 100% organic argan oil is reported to contain over 20 nutrients for the skin, such as Omega 6 and Omega 9, vitamin E and Polyphenol, which are powerful anti-oxidants. Berber women, who have traditionally been in charge of the hand picked harvests of Argan nuts, use this anti-aging oil for their beauty rituals (body, hair and nails).

The Naturelle d’Argan range comprises 4 face and 3 body skin cares, including an original exfoliating cleansing gel made of finely ground Argan seeds and apricot kernel. The Argan oil, called “Pure Argan Elixir,” is labelled “Cosmebio”, which guarantees the use of a minimum of 95% of natural ingredients and 10% of bio ingredients. It is Paraben-free, Silicone-free and GMO-free ingredients. The oil can be used for face, body and hair-care.....

The Green Spirit of The Hammam - Part 1: Tadé {Beauty Notes & Reviews}

Tadé-Hammam.jpg "The Green Spirit of The Hammam" by Guest Contributor Pauline

The professional trade show Maison & Objet was on last week in Paris. I decided to pay a visit to the exhibition in order to discover the latest trends in that section of the fair devoted to "Fragrances, Bath & Cosmetics."  Before being completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of stands in that section, I decided to focus on beauty products that are connected to the enticing world of the hammam and in particular, the natural cosmetic oil that is the most talked about in town these days, argan oil from Morocco.

Two beauty brands caught my attention as I liked the range of their products and their air of authenticity. They are both harnessing the all-natural, green ecological trend that the beauty market is developing more and more in response to consumers' demands while drawing on a very ancient heritage from the Middle East. I bought several products I wanted to try and today, I will talk about Tadé.

TADÉ, Pays du Levant (Country of the Levant) is a 100% natural line of cosmetics that draws on an original historical concept, the universe of the hammam, and proposes products for both men and women.....

Headonism.jpg

There is a very interesting interview of Alan Stuart, co-founder of Headonism, a line of organic scented hair care on newconsumer.com, "The UK's hottest ethical lifestyle magazine." The fragrances are so good a French perfumer could not believe his nose when he caught the aroma of Scent 2 and was told it was coming from a shampoo and not from a fragrance.....
