Balmain, the luxury fashion and fragrance house, have now entered the beauty market with a line of products for hair and skin making use of Argan oil, one of the most popular beauty ingredients these days. Among the collection is Silk Perfume, a fragranced mist for your hair...

No notes are given as to the personality of the scent, so we can only guess at this point how it smells like. Balmain today carry feminine fragrances Ambre Gris, Vent Vert and recently re-issued Ivoire.

Silk Perfume has been specially formulated so as to create a silken texture for you tresses, plus make them smell good, of course.

Ingredients include: Cyclopentasiloxane, diméthicone,
Argania Spinoza huile de noyau, acides aminés de soie,
 Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil,
 Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Ethylhexyl
 METHOXYCINNAMATE, Parfum.

There has been renewed appreciation for hair fragrances lately. Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian for instance created Touche Audacieuse for hairdresser Jean-Marc Maniatis. Caudalie launched an all-over oil good for hair too, Huile Divine. L'Occitane are preparing to release Fleur d'Or & Acacia Luminous Oil/Huile Lumière for the Holidays, for both skin and hair.

Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific is having a new moment with all these descendants which now prefer to scent your mane thanks to dry oil rather than shampoo. Scenting your hair is such a traditional gesture seen when women are tucking a blossom in their hair or using scented coconut or castor oil, yet it had gone out of fashion and is now making a comeback.
