New Perfume Arrivals at Luckyscent: Maharanih, A*Maze, Eau de Cacao, Absolument Absinthe {Shopping Tips}

Luckyscent has received the latest Maharanih by Parfums de Nicolaï, which we already reviewed here. It is a truly lovely feminine dry or semi-sweet citrusy and amber scent, which feels both lushly Oriental and very French.

Ore by Zents {Perfume Review & Musings} {Men's Cologne of the Week} {Holiday Gift Idea}

I have been wanting to review Ore by Zents for some time now and realizing that it would make a great gift for Christmas/the Holidays, I am finally making it happen.

My first encounter with Ore was in a store in Harvard Square that is now, alas, defunct but that was then chock-full of beauty and health products. It was called Harnetts. At one time, I am reminded with nostalgia, they also had a juice bar. Fast-forward to last spring. As they were liquidating their goods several months ago, I saw the industrial juicer amidst empty shelves and later even its future proprietor laying his eager and happy hands on it. Ah well, all this no more now....

Update on the Classics by Nina Ricci: Coeur Joie, Fille d'Eve, Capricci, and Farouche {Scented Paths & Fragrant Addresses} {Holiday Gift Ideas}

I had the opportunity to speak with a rep from Nina Ricci, a charming and very helpful young man by the way, and the following is the complementary information I was given.

According to Nina Ricci, the possibility of purchasing the classic fragrances Coeur Joie (1946), Fille d'Eve (1952), Capricci (1961), and Farouche (1974) has always remained. The way the system works is that you need to custom-order them unless the very select perfumery you address yourself to happens to have the scent you are looking for....

Coeur Joie, Fille d'Eve, Capricci, Farouche & L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci {Fragrance News}

Nina Ricci has re-issued four of their much-loved and sought-after vintage fragrances in Les Parfums Collection. They are Coeur Joie, Fille d'Eve, Capricci, and Farouche and come in pure parfum concentrations. Crystal flacons are signed by Lalique and contain 15 ml of the precious elixirs.

L'Air du Temps extract has been issued in a numbered Christmas 2006 edition. 1368 bottles are available worldwide. Each bottle was hand-made by a master glassmaker and takes on opalescent and pearly hues for the occasion.
