Award Winners & Finalists for the US Fifi Awards 2007 {Fragrance News}

The Fragrance Foundation USA announced several initial award winners as well as the top five finalists for the Fifi Awards 2007. The final award ceremony will take place on May 31st 2007.

At the breakfast for the finalists, the four FiFi Award recipients were:

DVD Collector Edition of Perfume The Story of a Murderer by Tom Tykwer {Fragrant Shopping} {Fragrance News}

The DVD of Perfume, The Story of a Murderer is going to be released in France on May 4th 2007. The US Amazon site is not yet offering a release date. Apart from the movie, the DVD Collector Edition of Perfume will comprise two discs with a number of extras that will rejoice perfumistas.......

Truffles, Black and White {The 5th Sense in the News}

Here's a great article on truffles. Truffle accords are also used in perfumery such as in Une Rose by Frederic Malle, Black Orchid and Noir de Noir (black truffle) by Tom Ford, and Sienne L'Hiver (white truffle) by Eau d'Italie Le Sirenuse.
