Dolce & Gabbana are releasing a masculine counterpart to Light Blue Pour Femme, a top best-seller. It is called Light Blue Pour Homme and is described as a woody spicy scent inspired by the sensual aromas of the Mediterranean. As reported, "The fragrance is wearable and highly distinctive — it took us two to three years to develop this fragrance, because the standards of Dolce & Gabbana are very, very high,".....

"The Sicilian mandarin is combined with frozen grapefruit peel, bergamot and juniper. Heart notes for the fragrance consist of rosemary, Szechuan pepper and rosewood, and the mix is rounded out with base notes of musk wood, incense and oak moss.

In the U.S., two sizes of eau de toilette sprays will be offered: a 2.5-oz. bottle priced at $52.50 and a 4.2-oz. flacon for $67.50. Alongside the scent will be a 4.2-oz. aftershave for $45 and a 2.5-oz. aftershave balm for $35, as well as a 6.7-oz. shower gel for $28 and a 2.4-oz. deodorant stick for $20."

  1. i guess this is some kind of marketing scheme i, for one, don't care too much about. men's crotches close up and stuff!! but i did think that pour femme was a sexy scent, i bought it for my girlfried on v-day when it 1st launched and now, i have another girlfriend and she wears it...i LOVE the pour femme...i definitely hope pour homme matches my expectations from this house. everthing they come with is pretty damn good.

  2. Well, there you have it uncensored:)

They seem to have put quite a bit of thought in it, so we can be hopeful that it will be a good scent.

  4. this is not a bad scent at all, however, just like my gut was telling me, its not "groundbreaking." you can smell the background of woods, with the citrus (maybe frozen grapefruit peel) prominently sticking out, but its a nice blend. also, even though i don't find it "groundbreaking," i can see myself liking it more and more because its an everyday-er.

  5. Yes, a fragrance does not need to be a masterpiece to be worn with pleasure:) Some simply creep up on you.
