More on Black XS for Her by Paco Rabanne {New Fragrance}

To follow up on the interview with Paco Rabanne we posted about yesterday, we have additional details regarding the new Black XS for Her, which launched earlier this month in France. The scent was composed by Emilie Coppermann of Symrise and includes a mystical ingredient, Black Hellebore, reportedly used by witches of yore for its hallucinogenic properties. Paco Rabanne is well-known for his interest in astrology and the supernatural in general. He even recounted to the journalists at WWD that he had just encountered a "ghoulish presence" prior to meeting with them! Always expect the unexpected with Paco.

The idea. more concretely, was to create a love potion and be attuned to Gothic sensitivities.......

The brew, intended primarily for the 18-25 year-old segment of the population, also contains notes of notes of tamarind blossom, pink peppercorn, cranberry, black violet, cacao flower, Massoia wood, patchouli and vanilla.

"The eau de toilette will be available in 30-, 50- and 80-ml. versions priced at 32 euros, 45 euros and 55 euros, respectively, or $43, $61 and $74. An ancillary collection includes a deodorant, shower gel and body lotion.

The brand is also supporting Sidaction by donating 1 euro, or $1.40, to the AIDS charity for each bottle of Black XS and Black XS for Her sold during the week following World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 and will also distribute condoms alongside scent samples."

If you are older than 25 and feel disappointed to learn that this promising love potion might smell too youngish for you, don't forget there is always Dior Poison, which seems to be able to play with our witche's instincts just as well.
