Jean Paul Gaultier and Issey Miyake, which are both brands owned by Beaute Prestige International, have announced their limited-edition summer scents for spring and summer 2008.

This year Jean Paul Gaultier dreams of Africa and proposes scented variations of Classique and Le Mâle bottled in the usual anthropomorphic bottles decorated this time with African adornments,

"She is a queen, a sensual temptress wearing an ornament of wood and glass beads. He is a manly, sensitive Maasai warrior sporting a solar talisman." .....

"In the CLASSIQUE 3.3 oz Alcohol-Free Summer Fragrance ($60.00 USD), Rose flirts with Orange Blossom, enlivened by a zest of Clementine and Sicilian lemon. A bouquet of pure flowers including Arabian Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Lily of the Valley and White Iris blooms in the middle notes. The heady base notes feature an accord of vanilla absolute, fresh musk and amber.

The LE MALE 4.2 oz Stimulating Body Spray ($56.00 USD) is enriched with mint, ginseng and ginger water. Refreshing agents create an icy effect - a cocktail of pure energy."

Issey Miyake Eaux de Toilette pour L'Eté

The feminine and masculine duo illustrates a dream-about-water theme,

"In the L'Eau d'Issey 3.4 oz Eau de Toilette pour L'Ete, ($60.00 USD) The sensual sweetness of rose water blends with succulent pear for a mouth- watering start. Awash in a velvety effusion of Peony and Carnation, Osmanthus shines forth, warmed by precious woods.

In the L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme 4.2 oz Eau de Toilette pour L'Ete, ($56.00) frosty zests of yuzu and mandarin bubble with vivacity. Sprinkled with aromas of ebullient cardamom and aromatic sage, the Eau becomes an invigorating wave, cooled by marine accents of vetiver and ambergris.

All fragrances are available May 1st, at Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Sephora stores nationwide."

  1. I am confused- is this a new formulation of the JPG summer compared to previous years?

  2. No, it's just the packaging that changes each year. This was confirmed to me by the brand.
