Sarah Jessica Parker will launch a limited-edition flanker this summer called Covet Pure Bloom, following her 2007 introduction of Covet. The actress will also be busy promoting her feature-movie adaptation of the popular Sex And The City series opening on March 30th 2008.

This time, the scent appears to take the path of a tropical sequel to the original "fougère on estrogens" (Covet) as it features a central note of royal Indonesian Pikake flower together with a popular one of coconut toddy.......

The jus, colored green originally, is now a light purple.

Key ingredients are: royal Indonesian Pikake flower, plum, mandarin, coconut water, tuberose, jasmine, amber, musk, sandalwood, and orris. In fact, as is often the case, it may well have little to do with the original apart from the name and flacon.

A 3.4 oz bottle is priced at $68. Available from July 2008.

  1. I am so Excited to get this new Flanker scent. I LOVE SJP and would wear any fragrance of hers even it smelled like a swimming pool. Covet did not go over as huge as lovely but the new bottle is Pretty and I think the notes sound more commercial for todays fickle customers.

  2. LOL! You just gave me new insight into a true fan's mentality "...even if it smelled like a swimming pool."

Well, as long as it brings you happiness, that's what counts in a perfume ultimately, no?

    • I am glad to hear this. I have it but have just smelled near the cap. So far, it's made a good impression on me. It seems to be subtler and mellower than I expected and the bottle is prettier in person than on pictures.
