Makeup artist Mally Roncal will add a new type of beauty item to her collections and launch her signature perfume on October 29, 2009. The name of the fragrance saves on the number of letter fonts: it is just called Mally. Described as a floral and citrusy fragrance, it pays homage to Roncal's Philippino heritage by showcasing the sampaguita or sampaquita, the national flower of the Philippines...

Another name for it is jasmine sambac and pikake. Still smells delicious in its natural state. If this is well-done, as in Roncal insisted the scent smells exactly like the garlands of sampaguita that are sold on the streets in South East Asia, this could be good.

Notes are: sampaguita, mandarin, red currant, bamboo, palm leaf, freesia, jasmine, muguet, peony, peach, coconut, sandalwood, and musks.

It will be available on the Q, $65 for 1.7 fl. oz.

You can watch a preview of the fragrance offered by Mally Roncal on her blog.
