La Prairie Life Threads & the Power of Gems: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald (2010) {New Fragrances}

Following up on Silver, Gold and Platinum (2009), Swiss cosmetics and perfume brand La Praire will expand its Life Threads collection from September 2010 with a new trio of perfumes called Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. This time, three precious stones were selected for their emotional associations and their historical legacies.

Sapphire is for peace and meditation; ruby is for love and passion; emerald stands as a symbol of renewal...


According to The Moodie Report,

Sapphire is a floral woody amber fragrance. Top notes are green leaves, apricot and freesia; heart notes are sea jasmine, wild narcissus and gardenia; base notes are woods and amber.

Ruby is a floriental. Top notes are bergamot, orange flower and lily of the valley; heart notes are saffron, ylang-ylang, red rose and jasmine absolute; base notes are sandalwood, vetiver, musk and vanilla.

Emerald is also a floriental. Top notes are galbanum, orange flower and angelica; heart notes are Bulgarian rose, Indian jasmine and French daffodil; base notes are iris, sandalwood, oak moss and pure amber.

Each perfume is priced at 95€ for 50 ml.
