Niche brand Le Labo has launched a limited-edition perfume in collaborationn with florist Thierry Boutemy and Open Ceremony called Geranium 30...

The composition is signed by perfumer Barnabé Fillion. According to the press release, it is described as “a precarious balance of flowers and spices, creating the permanent feeling of walking in a perfectly arranged mad and wild garden,”

Thierry Boutemy's work has appeared in particular in Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola - catching then the attention of Open Ceremony - a movie which also inspired a Le Labo perfume for actress Kirsten Dunst, Tubéreuse 40, as Fabrice Penot once explained. It seems to be a story of elective affinities.

Price: $240 for 100 ml.

For another recent geranium composition, see Diptyque Geranium Odorata Eau Florale.

    • Have you tried the fragrance? It's not uncommon for perfume brands to bring back a popular juice if there is enough interest in the public. So, it's always worth it to write to the brand if you really care about one of their compositions.
