Brand founders are Lisa Wallos and brother David Cantor. They picked the Japanese word "kiöri" meaning "inner force" or "inner desire" to define what their outlook on life and perfume is.

The new soft Oriental fragrance oil is a mix of,

Lisa Wallos recounts that she was first struck by the power and charm of scent as she was studying at the School of American Ballet in New York City,

Backstage at Lincoln Center, she and other young dancers watched as prima ballerinas prepared their costumes, hair and makeup for performances and lightly anointed themselves with pleasant scents which were very much their own.
