Jean-Charles Brosseau Ombre Rubis (2015) {New Fragrance}

ombre_rubis.jpg Jean-Charles Brosseau have released a new fragrance for women in the Ombre (Shadow) series which debuted with the perfume classic Ombre Rose (1981) called Ombre Rubis (Ruby Shadow)...

The composition is signed by perfumer Thomas Fontaine, the in-house nose of Designer Parfums (Jean Patou, Worth, Jean-Louis Scherrer and Agent provocateur.)

The new scent is pegged as an ozonic, woody floriental by the brand.

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of bergamot, rhubarb, apple and mimosa seguing into a heart of orange blossom, aquatic jasmine, cassis and violet leaves. The base rests on cedarwood, coconut, white musks, iris, vanilla and styrax.

About the personality of the composition we are told that,

"You wear Ombre Rubis like an elegant jewelry set, an exceptional gem - original and delicate - which can accompany you any time, day and night.

This fragrance [...] evokes the most beautiful florals while being very current and going beyond that thanks to its unexpected mix of "genras", both pure and intriguing." (Our translation.)

The flacon reprises the Art-Nouveau-morphing-into-Art-Deco bottle once used for Le Narcisse Bleu by Mury (1925), which is a trademark of the house.

Price: 110€ for 100 ml.
