Lille-based French niche brand Ombres Portées est. 2006 have released their first eau de toilette called Canari...

The composition is a unisex hesperidic opus inspired by the bright Pantone 108 yellow ; Named after the canary, the scent is also meant to evoke the bird's happy, beautiful singing.

Anyone familiar with the north knows how the sun and its life-affirming virtues are worshipped all the more in those places where it is rare. The name of the house says it all too.

Canari_edt.jpg The fragrance opens on top notes of Sicilian lemon and cédrat followed by a heart of sun-gorged agrumes with orange and mandarin. The base is said to be woodsy and « timeless » with notes of oak moss and vetiver.

The house previously launched a perfume called L'Eau d'Albert which was marketed as a « multi-usage » scent to be used both on skin and textile - and even in the bath. They focus on home fragrances. Canari marks a new orientation for the brand with septentrional French roots.
