Byredo Bibliothèque Eau de Parfum

Because books are meant to be portable universes - and also because we might already feel nostalgic about the smell of printed books, Byredo will follow up this spring on the success of its atmospheric scent Bibliothèque (Library) first issued as a candle then a room spray. The composition will be available as a unisex personal perfume, Bibliothèque eau de parfum...

The tag line is "So that you may feel wrapped in the scent of paper,..."

The notes are peach, plum, peony, violet, leather, patchouli, and vanilla.

The scent of books is a topic that has been found to be fascinating for scentophiles, in particular in its kinship with vanilla.

You can break down the olfactory profiles of tomes by paying closer attention to the leather, paper or ink.

Cuir de Russie for instance is the smell of leatherbound books following the Russian style of leather preparation. The paper part has garnered more attention in the past few years. Book worm Karl Laferfeld, for example, issued a fragrance called Paper Passion.

Byredo is offering a more comprehensive approach. They also released an ink perfume in the past named M/Mink.

Bibliothèque will be available from March, 2, 2017 in 100 ml.
