Dolce & Gabbana has added a new item to their upscale Velvet fragrance collection with Velvet Cypress, inspired by "the traditional scent of the Mediterranean countryside" at a specific time of year as "an homage to the late-summer Italian countryside,"...

"WE HAVE PUT OUR MEMORIES AND OUR ROOTS INTO THE VELVET FRAGRANCE COLLECTION, WHICH HAVE THE SAME VIBRANT, HEDONISTIC HEART AS SICILY AND ITALY. WITH EACH ONE, WE INVITE YOU INTO OUR WORLD."
-- DOMENICO DOLCE AND STEFANO GABBANA

The scent showcases an overdose of cypress. The cypress tree is an iconic sight of the classical Italian landscape, whose architecture-like, column-like like shape - capable of impressive growth heights - often appears against a backdrop of man-made architecture, enhancing it - and even sometimes dwarfing it.

The eau de parfum is available in 50 ml for 210€ and 150 ml for 389€.
