As previously reported, the new fragrance Courvoisier L'Edition Impériale cologne is the cognac brand's first venture into a perfume extension of its label. The scent does not contain any cognac note "because the marketers wanted to accentuate the aspirational lifestyle suggested by the name." Its official launch will take place at Bergdorf Goodman next Monday although it already started selling out unofficially. For a detailed description of the perfume you can go to our previous post.....

"The line consists of two sizes of eau de parfum, a 2.5-oz. version for $98 and a 4.2-oz. size for $145.

....the bottle is made of heavy 260-g. glass, manufactured by Bormioli Luigi, and the designers took the unusual step of embedding the metal components into the glass."

Toiletries kits will follow. The cologne is exclusive to Bergdorf Goodman at this time.
