Man By Calvin Klein {New Perfume}

Calvin Klein will launch a new stand-alone masculine scent this fall called very simply Man. It was developed by fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb with Firmenich. Lori Singer VP of Global Marketing and Coty Prestige said that "Calvin Klein Man is intended to be iconic"[...] ""This launch is classic Calvin — masculine, minimalistic and sophisticated."....

The perfume "is classified as a crisp, spicy wood fragrance. Top notes are of rosemary, mandarin, bergamot and violet leaf; the heart is of bay, nutmeg, incense and spearmint, and the drydown is of cypress wood, guaiac wood, sandalwood, amberwood and musk.

The collection includes eaux de toilette sprays in two sizes, 1.7 ounces for $48 and 3.4 ounces for $65; a 3.4-oz. aftershave splash, $45; a 5-oz. aftershave balm, $40; a 6.7-oz. hair and body wash, $20, and a 2.6-oz. deodorant, $16."

  1. sounds like a cross between gucci pour homme ii and guess man...which are 2 great scents but don't have much sillage. but this may turn out totally different, hopefully. it does sound nice, however.

  2. has notes of gph2 and guess man, but a few more notes, but it still sounds interesting to me...

  3. on 3rd thought, LOL, this has some notes out of the aforementioned fragrances, but afterall, doesn't sound similar or like a cross-between. but the notes, i reiterate, still sound great....LOL

    as you can see i'm doing research on this one! i'll definitely look for this one...

  4. You are very thorough:)

  5. The bottle is similar to YSL M7's flacon dont you think ?

  6. Well, yes now that you say it, I see the similarities. But I also think that it is distinctive enough to not call the comparison immediately to mind. Certainly, one could see a genealogical link though.
