Guerlain will introduce a new perfume in July of 2007 called Quand Vient La Pluie (When The Rain Comes). It was conceived as a "prose poem" and created by perfumer Thierry Wasser together with artistic director Sylvaine Delacourte.

The scent was inspired by the ambery effluvias of nature, by the woody accents of earth after a rain shower....

It is like being transported to a garden in which the rain and the summer sun contribute to developing the scent of flowers.

The scent is described as a fresh powdery fragrance that includes notes of heliotrope, violet, rosemary, praline, and Jasmine Sambac. The flacon was designed by Serge Mansau and represents a (refillable) drop of water laid on a pedestal that is a semi-abstract rendition of a leaf.

"There is also an extract version, in a bottle hand-set with Swarovski crystals. Eau de Parfum: refillable ¼ fl.-oz. bottle with 1.7 fl.-oz supply, €280; Extract: refillable 1/3 fl.-oz. bottle with 16 fl.-oz supply, €1800 €. At the Maison Guerlain."
