By Kilian L'Oeuvre Noire: Love, Beyond Love, Liaisons Dangereuses, Cruel Intentions, A Taste of Heaven, Straight to Heaven {New Fragrances}

This fall Kilian Hennessy will introduce a brand new collection of six perfumes regrouped in a line called L'Oeuvre Noire (The Black Work) under the general label By Kilian, which apparently will be subdivized into other smaller ones such as By Kilian Don't be Shy and By Kilian Prohibited. The fragrances are inspired by a mix of 18th French literature and 19th century French poetry references, from Choderlos de Laclos to Baudelaire, Verlaine, and Rimbaud .....

The line will comprise a series of three duos of fragrances composed by perfumers Calice Becker and Sidonie Lancesseur: a feminine duo entitled Les Ingénues that will include Love and beyond Love, a unisex duo with Liaisons Dangereuses and Cruel Intentions, and a masculine duo called Les Paradis Artificiels with A Taste of Heaven and Straight To Heaven.

The semi-transparent black bottles inspired by Japanese black lacquer boxes will be filled at counters from black fountains that will be also available for purchase.

"The half-dozen fragrances, which are the first of an ongoing series that will include candles and bath products, are to be introduced exclusively in a handful of stores, including Printemps and Evody in France plus online at bykilian.com outside the U.S. starting in September. By Kilian will be available in the U.S. at Bergdorf Goodman and Aedes de Venustas in mid-October.

A 50-ml. refillable By Kilian bottle is to retail for $250; a 50-ml. refill, for $95, and a 1-liter "fountain," for $3,000."
