Following a general popular trend of vintage re-editions, Yves Rocher has created a new collection of perfumes called Réédition Parfum. The brand has recently re-launched, in May of 2007, two perfumes from its catalog and is planning two more re-issues by the end of this year.

On a related note, the label also just re-issued Pur Désir de Pivoine in its current Pur Désir de Fleurs collection, which is back by popular demand.....

The two fragrances that are now available in collector flacons are En Avril Un Soir and Vie Privée, to be followed by Venise and Rose d'Ispahan.

En Avril Un Soir is a floral chypre fragrance resting on a main accord between notes of bergamot, rose, and patchouli. Top notes are ylang-ylang and orange flower. Heart notes unfolds a floral accord with notes of jasmine, freesia, and rose. Base notes are woody with notes of sandalwood, iris, and musk. It is re-edited in eau de toilette concentration.

Vie Privée is described as an ultra-feminine white floral bouquet with main notes of jasmine, orange flower, and narcissus. Top note is bergamot; heart notes are Bulgarian rose and ylang-ylang; base notes are vetiver, cedar wood, sandalwood, and Tonka bean. It is available in eau de parfum concentration.

Each retails 45 Euros for 50 ml.

  1. En avril un soir is a very commercial version of.... Madame Rochas (+ a hint of Caleche). Lighter and with a simpler drydown compared to the original model.

  2. Oh, interesting. Thank you for the heads up.

I recently bought a bottle of Madame Rochas edp from a seller in France because it is nearly impossible to find in the US although I saw it in Paris at Sephora. I was very disappointed by it as it seemed to have been compromised or reformulated. The seller swore it came directly from the factory (?)
