Elizabeth Arden Pretty (2009): Pretty in Pink Please {New Perfume}

Elizabeth Arden will introduce a new women's perfume in March 2009 called Pretty.

Pretty illustrates a pink floral theme and "...celebrates the ritual of getting ready to go out," according to a spokesperson of Elizabeth Arden's "It represents the last touch, that final, must-have accessory,"...

The fragrance was composed by perfumer Claude Dir of Givaudan who already authored Dirty English for Juicy Couture and also did other perfumes with an admittedly "pretty positioning" for Britney Spears  (Curious, In Control, In Control Curious) and Paris Hilton ( Can Can), amongst others.

Perfumery wise the new jus is built around a new proprietary molecule by Givaudan called Petalia. The perfumer explained,

"Petalia became the new floral icon that I built my fragrance around because it is easy to wear, with a floral character that imparts a unique signature impression,"

"Top notes are of Italian mandarin orpur, orange blossom and peach nectar; the heart is of petalia, star jasmine, pink iris and white peony, and the drydown is of fluffy musk, jacaranda wood and creamy amber."
