Le Bon Marché Saint Germain des Prés (2008) {New Perfume}

The at once venerable (est. 1852), upscale and trendy Parisian department store Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche introduced a signature perfume for women called Saint Germain des Prés EDP.

(If memory serves me well there is also a men's version spotted earlier this summer which is however not currently showcased on their new e-commerce site.)

"Saint Germain des Prés symbolizes this mix of simplicity and expressiveness which characterizes the woman who is curious of everything, sensitive to new trends."

"Saint Germain des Prés symbolise ce mélange de simplicité et d'expression qui caractérise la femme curieuse de tout, sensible aux nouvelles tendances."...

Saint Germain des Prés, named after a historic neighborhood of Paris which is found in the geographic continuity of Le Bon Marché but not exactly where this one is located, has notes of blackcurrant, peony, musks, spicy freesia, powdery iris, creamy jasmine, and sparkling lotus.

It is described as a fragrance that is "aesthetic, sensual and light". "It is a perfume that is conceived of like a modern architecture."

The eau de parfum retails 60 € for 100 ml.

  1. I used to work for LVMH. It was given to all the employees and all I have is a 15ml bottle and use only for special occasions. Can you tell me where to purchase it online? I search all the time. Thanks so much.

  2. I wondered if you have any other ideas on where to source this beautiful perfume? I don't seem to be able to locate the perfume on the store website and have had no luck finding it online either. Many thanks!

    • I have only seen it at Le Bon Marché personally.
