Following the launch of an initial quatuor of Madonna Nudes 1979 scents in 2006, four more perfumes will be introduced in 2010. To begin with, Musical and Sensual will appear early next year.
The collection is not endorsed by Madonna but makes reference to her portfolio of 34 so-called nude pictures taken by photographer Martin Schreiber in 1979, which includes a few where she is still clothed (see above). She was 21, still unknown, and has no copyrights over these images.
These celebrity fragrances of sorts are nevertheless inspired by her life...
Perfumer Marc Blaison explained the inspiration for Musical,
"The inspiration for this creation came as a need to exemplify Madonna's feelings that she expresses in her music. Her intense passion allowed me to transmit a rhythm filled with true harmony in this fragrance."Perfume notes are: neroli, rose, jasmine, patchouli, vanilla and soft musk
Sensual was composed by perfumer Arnaud Winter to embody Madonna's "sexy and daring personna."
Perfume notes are: pink grapefruit, mandarin, melon, passion flower, orchid and musk.
The fragrances were developed by Miami-based Cosmo International Fragrances and licensee Beauty Contact.
Each 100 ml Eau de Parfum is priced at $35
