Valentino_Valentina_bottle_A.jpgValentino, aware that a segment of European society -- its well-mannered, golden youth -- is heaving under the constraint of too many rules, are dedicating their new perfume Valentina to this archetype of a young Italian woman who learns to free herself from patriarchy and bourgeoisie. We are guessing that the message is supposed to be both aspirational and reformist...

Valentina is a floriental fragrance created by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp.

The Eau de Parfum is said to open on exhuberant top notes of Calabrian bergamot and Alba truffle leading to a heart of white flowers and wild strawberry. The base notes rest on notes of cedar wood, amber and vanilla.

This is the first Valentino perfume developed by new brand owner Puig.

The advertising is fronted by Freja Beha Erichsen.

Valentina will be introduced in September 2011.
