Bar Refaeli had a particularly well done, light-catching, natural yet glamorous pink-champagne-like complexion at the Whitney Museum of American Art Gala event last week. Check out after the jump to see how the layering was done and what products, all by Nars, were used...

Bar_refaeli-01.jpgCelebrity makeup artist, Nico Guilis explains how he decided to go about Bar Refaeli's look,

“Bar's Marchesa dress was so intricate that we thought the makeup should be more fresh and elegant to give her an ethereal look. It was unexpected to see such a natural look stand out on the red carpet”

Guilis did a great job at creating a subtle yet eye-catching camaïeu of flushed pinks, browns and beiges.

To do that he used a combination of the two all-purpose The Multiple sticks in Malibu and Multiple Copacabana on the cheeks, eyes and forehead. He further layered with Mata Hari Blush and Laguna Bronzing Powder. On Bar's eyes, he applied Lola Lola Eyeshadow and Nico Blush (also on the eyelids.) Finally, he used Sex Machine Matte Lip Pencil on her lips. It all came together as a natural, healthy glow while being delicate enough to not scream sporty. It was more of a cross between a sun-tanned beach babe and a porcelain-doll. Hmm, does that even exist? Apparently, yes. Opposites can be reconciled thanks to makeup.
