Kenzo launched a new duo of fragrances for Her and Him called L'Eau 2 Kenzo for Her and Him. It is a new limited-edition flanker to L'Eau (1996) issued in the big era of aquatic fragrances, the 90s. Those are making a comeback this spring with a slew of L'Eau-themed perfumes.
"Kenzo reinvents water. It becomes permeated with the vibrations of the city which gives it a novel energy. To play, to seduce, to be friends, 2. L'EAU2KENZO offers a seductive game which is friendly and spontaneous." (Our own translation)....
The aquatic fruity-floral for her (pink) was composed by perfumer Daphné Bugey. It has notes of pear nectar, lemon pulp followed by rose, freesia, lotus before concluding with cedar wood and white musks.
The men's version (orange) is an hesperidic. It is signed by perfumer Sonia Constant. It has notes of ginger, grapefruit and bitter orange followed by lavender and juniper berries before finally leaving a sillage of vetiver, cedar wood and spruce.
The commercial by Patrick Guedj was filmed in Rome featuring models Marloes Horst and Jacques Grobler,
Available in 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
It reminds you a bit of CKIN2U for the attempt the name makes at conveying a young, texting style while obviously tapping into the mores defined, say, by Sex Friends, only a tad more romantic, as if you watched the commercial towards the end of the movie when the friendly sex has not worked really. Good old-fashioned amour, in French please, is back!
