The designer is reported to have been one who has mixing perfume oils by herself for years even acquiring spontaneous clients doing so. A lover of travels, she has also always been an observer of smells citing Après L'Ondée by Guerlain as an initial olfactory shock for her at 17 when she was in Paris, and Mumbai as a place filled with interesting scents.

For the debut L'Wren Scott, the designer worked with perfumer Ralf Schwieger of Mane USA who she said was quite taken aback by her ideas about her signature perfume, in a good way apparently.

Judging from the list of perfume notes, the blend appears to be less than bland.

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of absinthe, star anise, coriander, mandarin and marigold, seguing into a heart of tuberose, jasmine, geranium, curry and clove buds. The drydown rests on Brazilian patchouli, musk, leather, amber and moss.

Like for her fashion, the designer admits “I play to the sensual and sexy side.” Her fragrance philosophy is summed up in that a person ought to wear a scent without feeling that the scent is wearing her or him.

Next up is a perfume described as being more of a "dual sex collaboration".

A 100 ml bottle is priced at $195
