Dolce & Gabbana Desire (2013) {New Perfume}

Dolce and Gabbana are not only thinking about how to best scent babies, but continuing on their course to perfuming stylish women with their latest launch, Desire. Although there is a subtitle which indicates that it is part of the The One collection, we feel that the word "desire" by itself is much more memorable and impactful, so we prefer putting the stress on it for headlines purposes, and also synaesthetic purposes...

And at any rate, the brand are doing the same.

The original The One was launched in 2006 with super-model Gisèle Bündchen as its spokesperson.

A men's version was available in 2008, as well as its sports counterpart in 2012.

In 2009, Rose The One was the latest twist for women. The typography for the brand name and the fragrance name then gave most credits to the first. The new Desire on the other hand puts the focus on the fragrance name itself, handwritten by Stefano Gabbana.

In 2011, another year, another The One, with The One Lace for women, a limited-edition.

""Everything starts with desire. There wouldn't be seduction, sensuality or passion if it wasn't for desire," the designers said.

From the ad copy,

"The One Desire is a deeply feminine fragrance that transforms everyday moments into something special. A blend of luxurious ingredients takes us on a journey of opulent seduction."

As one can see, there are overlapping notes with the original:

Top notes: bergamot, mandarin, lychee, lily of the valley

Heart notes: Madonna lily, jasmine, plum nectar and tuberose

Base notes: cistus labdanum, musk, sandalwood and vanilla infused caramel

Via Vogue UK and Harrods, where it is available as an exclusive at the moment.
