Ex-American and now German fashion label Betty Barclay have launched a new women's fragrance destined to hit all the right, fresh notes of spring. Tender Blossom features delicate florals such as freesia, peony, cyclamen, and the creamier magnolia,

"Inspired by the most beautiful season of the year, Betty Barclay has created a new, deeply romantic fragrance... 

"TENDER BLOSSOM – a scent that captures delicate blossoms, a fragrance just like spring itself. Flowers create fragrant ties between people and they prepare us for a time filled with joy. Flowers are an eternal source of inspiration for fashion, too: they are symbols of purity, tenderness and elegance, but with their lush splendour they can also captivate the senses and spread happiness and delight.

We love this part ----> "Flowers can be used to say what words cannot express." The brand are apparently tapping into the reservoir of Victorian reserve with its tradition of the not-so-secret language of flowers. Because nearly everyone back then knew how to read those ciphers.

The eau de toilette/eau de parfum opens on top notes of sun-ripened melon, exotic lychee and delicate cyclamen. The floral heart features "three floral notes blossom, as if freshly picked in a lush garden: elegant peony, subtly delicate magnolia and enchanting freesia." In the base, there are sun-drenched woods like sandalwood and cedar, but also musk including "a secretive romantic note". 
 
If like us, you were thinking that this new perfume borrows its color palette from a pastel representation of Easter, then the latter note might sound like what you might find at the end of an Easter hunt, a rewarding chocolate egg, except it was probably designed as what perfumers allude to as a sexy "bedroom accord".
