Looking at the design of the bottle of Laundry by Shelli Segal is to feel immediately that there is something retro-Californian about its stylings, something hinting at exotic 60s-70s decor from Southern California. The colorful fashion label from Los Angeles have introduced their debut perfume, a sparkling chypre floral created by perfumer Clément Gavarry of IFF...

The nose, who attempted to capture the spirit of a place as well as that of a brand, said that the eau de parfum is an illustration of "the fun, exuberant and sexy feeling of L.A. using energetic, mouthwatering fruits and vibrant florals accented by woodsy undertones,”

The perfume opens on top notes of fresh mandarin, plum and guava leaf leading to a heart of peonies, orange flowers and osmanthus buds. In the base you have creamy sandalwood, patchouli leaf, amber and musk.

A 1.7 fl oz bottle is priced at $55. Available at Lord & Taylor.
