Prada have launched a new limited-edition collector bottle for their latest masculine fragrance Luna Rossa {see Luna Rossa fragrance review} introduced last year. The collector edition celebrates the 34th America's Cup.

"The Luna Rossa fragrance, which evolved from the pursuit of excellence and the heart of extreme sailing, was created with a reverence for the natural world and a passion for innovation. The strength and freshness of these elements is evoked by the interpretation of classic notes in novel forms."...

The bottle design is signed by Yves Behar. The inspiration is "the technological excellence and sleek, dynamic beauty of extreme sailing boats,"

What has changed is admittedly subtle. The bottom of the flacon is now silvery and reflective whilst it originated as transparent glass. The "cage" is now white. The bottle bears a caption to commemorate the edition in the style of a trophy caption.

The design is meant to reflect "the power of the elements along with strength and sophistication,"

Fragrance notes: Bitter orange essence, lavender, clary sage, spearmint Nanah essences for a wide, open space impression, Ambroxan and ambrette absolute.

Price: $82 for a 3.4 fl oz. eau de toilette. Available as an exclusive at Macy's.
