Demeter Fragrance Library Pizza: Brave New Scent (2013) {New Perfume}

Demeter, aka The Real Scents of the World (not really - just kidding) have launched a new perfume which they call a stretch, not of the imagination, but certainly of perfume-wearing habits, with the tantalizingly and simply named Pizza. This bodes ill as just writing down the name makes me feel hungry...

The brand went for literalism for this new gourmand perfume squarely in the camp of savory, adding notes of "tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, a touch of oregano – perfectly balanced for the adventurous."

Oregano is so much associated with pizza than when when you smell the herb, it conjures up an association with it which makes it less versatile due to this cultural orientation. 

And the fragrance sounds almost like a joke waiting to happen. Imagine pulling pranks on pizza lovers by spraying the invisible scent in a house and making people search for the missing meal. Maybe this could make you become immune to the scent of pizza? You can only hope.
