Miller Harris Rose en Noir (2006/2013) {New Perfume}

British perfume house Miller Harris have re-launched Rose en Noir in the fall of 2013 after it had been initially introduced in 2006 then discontinued. As its name indicates, this is a dark rose composition said metaphorically to be "dressed in black" in French...

Perfumer Lyn Harris composed the fragrance explaining that "Rose en Noir is a velvety rich fragrance inspired by the sensual and dark side of the rose."

"Rich, dark notes of Turkish rose Damascena, black pepper and violet leaf dominate the heart with sensual top notes of coriander seed, cumin and petigrain citronnier. This powerful combination draws down into a deep velvet base of ambrette seed, patchouli leaf and tabac noir France."

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of Raspberry, Violet leaf, Petitgrain, coriander, cumin seguing into Turkish Rose, black pepper, Nutmeg and resting on a base of Patchouli, Vetiver, black tobacco France and Ambrette seed.

The nose uses an official appelation for the tobacco acord which makes reference to dark air-cured tobacco in natural air and corresponding to French taste.

Prices: £95 & £65 for 100 ml and 50 ml EDP.
