Bottega Veneta Knot (2014) {New Fragrance}

Bottega Veneta are launching a new perfume for women from late August 2014 called Knot, in reference to their bestselling Knot Clutch...

This is the second pillar perfume for the brand after Bottega Veneta EDP. While the first one was an ethereal fruity leather, the second one is an airy floral, whose "inspiration came from an imaginary house on the Italian coast, with the smell of flowers and fresh laundry wafting through an open window."

Perfumer Daniela Andrier of Givaudan composed the eau de parfum which opens on a clementine accord, with mandarin, limette, neroli and orange flower. Breeziness is conveyed by lavender in the heart together with rose and peony. The base is musky and sweet thanks to tonka bean.

Its ideal target consumer is a woman who "buys a fragrance for herself, the pleasure is for herself,” “She’s not looking for status symbols; it’s a luxury she is choosing to give herself.”

Prices, it can be noted, are on the rise: "Knot will be available in 30-ml., 50-ml. and 75-ml. bottles, which will retail for $90, $125, and $160, respectively"

  1. THAT BOTTLE! Although I love the original BV, the notes in this one do not sound like my type of fragrance. I will certainly buy it however for THAT BOTTLE!
