French fashion label Jacomo have introduced a new men's perfume called Oud for Men. Nowadays, virtually every fragrance houses are keen on offering their interpretation of a new, popular perfumery accord - and in some cases material - for Western cultures...

The perfumer behind the new scent is young nose Sébastien Matin who says that oud is his favorite material. He's used a process of distillation of altered woods, which allows for the obtemption of different woody olfactory nuances coming from the same "terroir". This, reportedly, makes the cologne unique and rare.

Oud for Men was styled as a masculine floriental although floral notes are not explicitly listed in the olfactory pyramid but are said to be there. It is dedicated to men who are brooding, moody (ténébreux in the original French) and adventurous.

The eau de toilette aims to be refined, "resolutely modern" and "oh-so sensual".

The composition opens on top notes of bergamot, lemon and rosemary seguing into a heart of cypress, incense, marine accord and clove while the base features oud or agarwood, musk and sandalwood.

Price is 73€ for 100 ml.
