M. Micallef Mon Parfum Gold (2014) {New Perfume}

M_Micallef_Gold.jpg French "haute artisanal and luxury perfume house in the French tradition" M. Micallef, as they wish to emphasize their mission, launched a third fragrance in the Mon Parfum series called Gold...

Like for most of their perfumes, while the know-how is French, the style of the house appears to be very much influenced by Middle Eastern tastes.

To date, this is said to be the most mysterious work in the collection after Mon Parfum and Mon Parfum Cristal.

The two founders and art directors Martine Micallef and husband Geoffrey Nejman reportedly added a "secret ingredient" which they are keen to stress they will never divulge. The effect is said to be felt in the elusive aura of the eau de parfum which is said to contain all of the personality of the opus.

The source of inspiration is revealed though and time-tested as it goes back to the Arabian Nights, the Orient and its mysteries.

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of plum, pink peppercorn and mandarin fading into a heart of tuberose, blood orange and jasmine while deepening with vanilla and musk.
