American fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez has launched a new perfume for women in the United States this fall of 2014 called Narciso Eau de Parfum...

It will arrive in Europe in 2015.

The new floral-oriental reprises the main musk theme, which weaves its note in all of the house fragrances since the debut perfume Narciso Rodriguez for Her edt (2003), then edp (2005).

The designer said that this latest version is a little bit more studied, to further enhance the sensual effect. He stated,

"I wanted to create an extremely sexy fragrance that would turn a man's head,"

He added,

"The sensuality becomes a little bit more sexy, a little bit more intoxicating."

The composition features notes of gardenia with white Bulgarian rose in the top and musk ("coeur de musc") in the heart, with base notes of vetiver, vanilla, white cedar extract, and black cedarwood.

The fragrance is signed by perfumer Aurélien Guichard of Givaudan.

The bottle color was carefully selected to reflect the impression of a white pebble Narciso Rodriguez picked up while in Greece once, at the place of the birth of the goddess Aphrodite, reinforcing in this manner all positive symbolic associations with the scent.

Musk has a long tradition of being considered an aphrodisiacal aroma, thanks to its sweet and animalic nuances combining into one trail. Animalic perfumes - at least this is my personal theory - help deshinhibit people.
