Pop star Rihanna has launched a new fragrance for women just before the Holidays called Rogue Love following up shortly on Rogue Man, her first masculine scent...

Rogue Love, which is her third "rogue" moment for women after Rogue and Rogue Nude, is meant to capture that moment when you start falling in love. So, how does that smell like, according to Rihanna?

Apparently, it smells to her like a floral zesty scent probably because citruses are sparkingly fresh and used most often as opening notes in perfumes; therefore, they symbolise beginnings quite well.

The exotic floralcy of the scent which ensues is, no doubt, a nod to her tropically perfumed Barbadian roots.

The eau de parfum opens with mandarin and a berry and peach accord leading to a heart of honeysuckle, coconut, orchid and jasmine. The warm, creamy drydown rests on amber, woods, caramel and vanilla.

The ad campaign was shot by Mario Sorrenti; it underlines her rebellious side thanks to signature fashion statements such as her tattoo on her neck, pierced ears and undercut. But unlike Punk culture which informs her style and the fagrance bottle design, nothing is aggressive or off-putting in a blatant way.

It's Punkitude stylized, not fought for. It's both soft and Punk, a contradiction in terms originally.
